Medical Negligence London Credentials

There are two key credentials that are common to leading medical negligence solicitors firms and we strongly advise you to only use a medical negligence solicitor that has both:

  •

Holding a Legal Services Commission franchise in Clinical Negligence - this entitles the firm to take on legally aided medical negligence cases. Even if you are not entitled to legal aid for your medical negligence case you should only use a firm that has this franchise. The reason is that the Legal Services Commission only grants the franchise to well established medical negligence firms and so it is a good benchmark to confirm that a firm genuinely has expertise in medical negligence law.

  •  Membership of the Law Society's Clinical Negligence Panel - this is the most important stamp of approval a medical negligence specialist can obtain. Only highly experienced medical negligence solicitors are able to gain membership to the Clinical Negligence Panel and you should be very cautious indeed before instructing a law firm whose head of medical negligence is not on the Clinical Negligence Panel of the Law Society.

The team at Medical Negligence London (a part of the SheridanLaw Solicitors) has had a Clinical Negligence franchise with the Legal Services Commission for many years and Ian Sheridan, the head of our medical negligence team, has been a longstanding member of the Law Society's Clinical Neglgience Panel.
